Medium to full red colour, purple tint. Attractive fragrance of red fruits, spices and earth, quite nicely nuanced and detailed. Full-bodied and quite tannic, but the tannins are smooth, supple and there is ample flesh and flavour to balance. Nice harmony and length, although the tannins decree that it needs time. Fine wine and worth cellaring.

A classic Gevrey nose of pungent earth, underbrush and a sauvage note to the red and dark berry fruit aromas. There is also a touch of wood that does not affect the transparency of the very rich, full-bodied and minerally flavors that possess ample amounts of mouth coating dry extract that also largely buffer the chewy, serious and dense tannic spine on the long, intense and driving finish. Excellent. Drink to 2021+.
