Deep dark mahogany colour and a very rich, ripe, complex bouquet, showing barnyard/animal and somewhat oxidative nuances. It started off showing concentrated and very ripe fruit. Full-bodied, deep and showing some volatility, it's a powerful wine with terrific length and drive albeit not as fine or subtle as expected. It started to fall apart in the glass rather quickly. Bretty.
