Huon Hooke
Very deep, dense red/purple colour, with a pronounced peppermint aroma, intense, bright and fresh. The wine is very intense and focused on the mid-palate, with concentration and drive. It's very fresh and youthful, bright and intense, not massively proportioned but quite elegant and poised, with a very long carry. The tannins are appropriately firm, ripe and cleanse the finish. Eminently cellarworthy.

96 Points James Halliday
Deeply coloured; has all the hallmarks of top class cabernet sauvignon, blackcurrant to the fore, accompanied by nuances of black olive and sage; typical cabernet tannins run through the length of the palate, their role to support, not challenge, the fruit. The balance between the French oak resulting from 24 months maturation and the opulent fruit is nigh on perfect, and a long future awaits those with patience. Drink to 2043.
