There is a whisper of green tea to the spicy essence of black pinot fruit, plum and earth scents. There is better refinement if not better density to the punchy middle weight flavors that flash evident minerality on the firm finish that could also use better depth. The underlying material appears to be present for additional complexity to develop; moreover, this wine has an excellent track record of aging well. Tasted: Jan 10, 2022. Drink to 2031+.
