Deep ruby in a glass that lifts with a heady melange of blueberry compote, melted dark chocolate and sweet spices. The palate offers those same rich and sweet fruits and spices, almost Christmas cake-like in character, but the tannins are up to the job of control and driving it long. There’s a hint of warmth lingering at the finish, but it works in the context of this wine Drink 2023 - 2033.
