89 Points James Halliday
Medium to full red; the usual exotic array of aromas, distinctly ripe (almost, but not quite, porty) with a strong overtone of gamey Rhône Valley character. The palate is ripe and solid, with some dark chocolate to add to the characters of the bouquet, but no spice. Very different from previous vintages, vaguely reminiscent of ripe grenache. Drink to 2007.
