Huon Hooke
Deep, sound, dark fruited wine, black plum and blackberry. Tannic and firm, taut and stern, needs food! A highly structured Bin 28. I like the ripeness degree and the spectrum of flavours here, as well as the smooth tannins and 'big but balanced' structure.

91 Points James Halliday
Medium red-purple; well balanced and integrated fruit and oak, in typical Penfolds style, mark the bouquet; the palate has good weight and structure, with ripe plum and dark berry fruit; overall, soft and approachable. Drink to 2009.
