Huon Hooke
Deep, bright red with a hint of purple. Lovely array of spice, blueberry, herbal and earthy complexities on bouquet. Palate is lighter-weighted, but still has Dalwhinnie structure in its tannins, just dips a bit in the middle and lacks the concnetration of some other vintages. Elegant wine.

95 Points James Halliday
Medium to full red-purple; luscious dark cherry and plum with hints of spice from the fruit and oak on the bouquet, then a richly structured palate, with full, dark cherry and plum fruit. There are no jammy or porty characters at all, the wine flowing through to marvelously ripe but soft tannins on the finish. Drink to 2014.
