Huon Hooke
Deep, dark red, slight brick-red. Walnutty, dried spices, savoury, woodsy, more earthbound spectrum of flavours, very firm tight palate with plenty of acid and grip, almost a bit too acid, tending almost tough and needs food. Excellent flavour, really, and lingers on and on. Fine wine indeed.

91 Points James Halliday
Medium to full red-purple; the intense bouquet ranges through spice, berry, earth and vanilla; the palate is marked by very firm dark cherry fruit leavened by some spicy characters. The tannins, while not big, are quite firm, guaranteeing longevity. Drink to 2012.
