Huon Hooke
Blackcurrant cabernet nose; rich ripe berries; palate is deep and tannic; layered and fleshy, quite sumptuous and textural; grainy but fine tannins aplenty. Very good wine, serious and elegant, firm and tight; will age. Now to 15 years.

90 Points James Halliday
Medium red-purple; the bouquet offers sweet cassis berry fruit and subtle oak flowing on well into the attractive, sweet redcurrant-flavoured palate. Soft tannins and gentle oak add to the appeal; significantly better than the 1999 Bin 389. Drink to 2009.
