Six trophies and innumerable gold medals do do this wine justice without flattering it. Sophisticated winemaking provides a stylish and complex bouquet with sweet berry fruit matched by positive oak, but it is the outstanding texture and structure of the palate which is the feature of the wine, with long, fine-grained tannins.
