95 Points Robert Parker
A barrel sample of the 2002 Shiraz Reserve (the blend was finished and the wine will be bottled in several months) appears to be spectacular. An inky black/purple color is accompanied by sumptuous aromas of scorched earth, melted licorice, camphor, blackberries, and cherry liqueur. Full-bodied, dense, and well-delineated, it will be accessible young, but given its structure and extract, it will be at its finest in 2-5 years, and last for 15 or more. Very impressive!
