Deep red colour, still with vestiges of purple. The bouquet is starting to show some complex mellow maturity plus a touch of mint. It's a big, concentrated wine, very full-bodied and firm, with massive mouth-crunching tannins and a tight but long finish. Black fruits, mint, a trace of machine oil; concentration and power aplenty. A frosted year and one of the biggest wines ever. A sleeper.
