Ranked #29 of 100 2002 Shiraz from Coonawarra

Huon Hooke
Very spicy, peppery clovey cool-year aromas; shirazzy. Tight, firm palate; fine-grained tannins and texture; elegant, deep and suave: could age well and do good things with time. Now to 20 years.

RP 87 points: A very good as well as reasonably priced effort is the 2002 Shiraz Bin 128 from Coonawarra. This cool climate Shiraz reveals a hint of mint along with black currant & red fruits, earth, pepper, & spice characteristics, medium body, & a decent finish.
