Developed, hard varnishy oak with a touch of Bovril and very little fruit. Lacks charm. Going nowhere. Quite dense, too hard and grippy. Black olive, cassis. 16, 17, 15, 17, 16, 16.5

91 Points James Halliday
Medium red-purple; smooth blackberry, blackcurrant and redcurrant aromas have a gentle substrate of oak; the long, savoury palate shows the influence of merlot in the blend; finishes with lingering tannins. Drink to 2012.
