Extra fruit power and elegance here, this is classy. Red and black fruits aroma; food driven and clean; robust and firm in mouth but starting to drink well. Very firm palate, tight and solid, has a way to go yet. Drink now to 15 years. 2nd bottle = similar wine, still youthful and emergent

Dense red-purple; the very rich and concentrated bouquet is full of dark berry fruit and dark Swiss chocolate; the palate is rich and full, with luscious dark plum and rippling tannins. The best Bin 28 for years. Drink to 2016.

"This is a very good version of Penfolds Bin 28 Kalimna Shiraz.
The prototype of the label. Perfectly pitched black berry fruit, sandy-earthy nuance, slides of silken vanillin and a clear, clean ring of flavour through the finish. The thing about this wine is: it's beautiful powered yet balanced, not at all overdone, and will hold true for just about as long as you want it to."
