90 Points Robert Parker
Penfolds’ Shiraz lineup is impressive. Leading off is the 2004 Shiraz “Kalimna Bin 28”. Purple colored, it has an attractive nose of smoke, grilled meat, and blueberry. Medium to full-bodied, it is a straightforward Shiraz with loads of flavor, good balance, and a moderately long finish. It is a very good value.

92 Points Hooke
Very good deep red colour with slight purple tinges. Toasty and roasted nuts with licorice and spice and dark fruits. Palate is a bit light-on, drying and savoury, a more elegant but also lighter weighted wine, with quite firm tannins. Still quite youthful. Like the harmony and balance of this wine, good length and drive too. Drink 2013 - 2024.
