Huon Hooke
Mid-light red, slight purple. Gumleaf mint/camphor nose; eucalyptus. Lolly and cough medicine/cherry essence too. Not complex. Palate light and clean, fresh and sprightly. Simple, with medium length. Tight tannins to close. A nice wine, promising to be better next year. A fruit-driven style with negligible oak impact, well structured and full of promise.

90 Points James Halliday
Significantly more colour than the '04 varietal; pure, pristine and understated, but beautifully poised; reminiscent of Burgundy a la Armand Rousseau. Disappointing in the Tas Wine Show '07, not sure why. Drink to 2008.
