94 Points James Halliday
Bright, light crimson-purple; a multi-faceted bouquet, fruit, oak and earth influences all intermingling; the palate has bright and lively red fruits in a medium-bodied frame; scores for its great balance, line and length. Give it 5 years' peace, then enjoy for the next 15. Cabernet Sauvignon/Merlot/Petit Verdot. Drink to 2027.

RP 93 points: The 2007 Cabernets is blended of 71% Cabernet Sauvignon, 14% Petit Verdot and 15% Merlot. It begins with a deep garnet-purple color and slightly muted nose revealing moderately intense aromas of espresso, blackberry, dried plums, forest floor and loam. A nice backbone of high acidity and a medium level of very fine tannins give great structure fleshed out by an ample amount of restrained fruit. Long finish. Wonderfully approachable now but the restrained nature promises more with age. The medium body and modest alcohol render this a superb food wine, though it’s pretty great on its own! Drink now to 2020.
