Huon Hooke
Deep red purple: very good colour. Rich oaky nose, oak dominates, corporate oak! Lots of it. Rich, full-bodied palate saves the day, but the acid is noticeable and the dominant flavour is of oak. Age will help, but it's not very appealing right now. Firm finish & aftertaste. A somewhat concocted wine.

The Bin 707 Cabernet Sauvignon was aged for 16 months in new American oak hogsheads. A glass-coating opaque purple, it displays aromas of pain grille, pencil lead, mulberry, spice box, and black currant. Medium to full-bodied and seriously structured, it has the fruit to complement its frame. On the palate, espresso and chocolate make an appearance along with layers of savory black fruits. Dense and exceptionally lengthy it will continue to unwind for another 6-8 years and drink well from 2015 to 2031. Source: Robert Parker (Wine Advocate) December, 2009 by Jay Miller
