Medium brick-red colour, tawny edges. Sweet roasted meats and honeycomb, dense and rich in the mouth. Big flavour and full body, the palate's strength belies the somewhat frailer nose. Meaty, stocky, roasting pan scrapings. A very powerful old wine. A very good bottle of this.
