Ranked #5 of 18 2006 Cabernet Sauvignon from Barossa Valley
96/100
5 Stars
Huon Hooke
Medium dark red purple, superb colour. Oaky nose: loads of toasty barrel effect; chocolaty and mocha/coffeee. Savoury nutty and cabernet cassis too. Very cabernet - surprisingly visible under the patina of oak. Firm palate with acid notable and stacks of tannin. Fills mouth, very big finish and lingers long. Huge length. Very cellarworthy.

93 Points Robert Parker
The 2006 Cabernet Sauvignon Cellar Reserve was aged in 100% new French oak hogsheads for 18 months. It is expressive aromatically with scents of toasty oak, mineral, leather, spice box, black currant, and blackberry that jump from the glass. Firm on the palate and muscular, this concentrated, structured Cabernet demands 6-8 years of cellaring. It will offer prime drinking from 2015 to 2030.
