Huon Hooke
Medium dark red purple. Charred oak dominates nose. Lots of flavour, density and rustic tannins - the palate is numbingly tannic and leaves an aftertaste of oak and tannin and charred, burnt flavours. But not of fruit or vinosity.

91 Points Robert Parker
Blended of 65% Shiraz and 35% Cabernet Sauvignon, the 2008 WOMS gives a very deep garnet-purple color and intense black currant and black cherry aromas with some lifted cassis, pencil shavings and some dusty earth. Full-bodied with a high level of grainy tannins and high acidity, it has generous flesh and a long finish. Approachable now, it should drink to 2017. Drink 2010 - 2017.

91 Points James Halliday
A dark and concentrated blend that has somewhat lost varietal definition, but maintains a regional emphasis; chock full of sweet black fruits and chocolate, with the palate delivering a warm, mocha experience that suggests slow braised dishes are required; at the very edge of ripeness, the concentration is undeniable. Drink to 2018.
