Huon Hooke
Medium dark purple red, Pleasing spicy, savoury, meaty and complex with cherry plum spice aromas that are not at all simplistic, although it is very young wine. Light medium bodied wine, soft and gentle, not serious red wine, too light and shallow for that. Clean, well-made, light red. Just a light lick of tannins, buit it's soft. For early quaffing.

Deep garnet-purple in color, the 2009 Hilltops Shiraz displays pronounced aromas of freshly crushed blackberries and spiced blueberries over cinnamon stick, black pepper and anise. Medium-bodied it has a medium to high amount of acidity, a medium level of rounded tannins and a long berry-laced finish. Drink this one now to 2015.

95 Points James Halliday
Vibrant purple hue; dominated by savoury spicy notes, of cinnamon, clove, star anise and followed up by clearly defined blackberry fruit; the palate is lively and super fresh, showing a strong core of mineral and fresh earth; will be ample, juicy, long and generous, this is delicious as a young wine, or in ten years. Drink to 2018.
