Deep red colour, still with a purple rim. Slightly bacony oak and faintly green pea-like aromas. Not as spicy as the 2010 and more like a regulation Australian shiraz, albeit in a medium-bodied caste. Good wine, but like the chardonnay, has been improved on since '08.
