Huon Hooke
Deep, dark red-purple colour; excellent hue. Roasted fruit, toasted nut aromas of great complexity and still showing lots of primary fruit. Very intense in the mouth, also lively and elegant, clean and complex with a terrific spectrum of flavours. Rich, deep, concentrated palate with soft tannins and fleshy texture. Outstanding flavour and character. Has an almost liqueury core of super-ripe fruit sweetness. A great wine.

Deep garnet colored, the 2009 Palmer delivers a beguiling array of black fruit—warm plums, cassis and black cherry compote—with kirsch and wild sage sparks plus profound suggestions of fragrant earth, black truffles, iron ore and liquid licorice. Full-bodied, rich and decadently seductive in the mouth, the generous fruit is superbly framed with plush tannins and seamless freshness, finishing long and mineral laced. Drink 2020 - 2055.
