Ranked #9 of 20 2002 Shiraz from Langhorne Creek
89/100
3.5 Stars
Huon Hooke
Medium full red, no purple. Developed wine: quite evolved and secondary; no fresh fruit or primary aromas. Hints of jam and licorice here, especially on palate. A good harmony of flavours. Ample tannins which are smooth and have mellowed. Has richness and flesh, some density, good balance and length. Good, but just fails to excite.

91 Points Robert Parker
The opaque purple-colored 2002 Shiraz offers aromas of white flowers, creme de cassis, blackberries, and leather. Full-bodied, dense, chewy, and impressively made, it should keep for 6-8 years.

95 Points James Halliday
Deep, dense, red-purple; layer-upon-layer of black cherry, plum, bitter chocolate, ripe tannins and oak; carries 15° alcohol very well. Drink to 2017.
