Huon Hooke
Deep, dark red/purple hue and a bright, fresh, intense berry aroma, young for its age. Dried blood and iron-filings overtones. Big wine, ripe fruit, solid and very full-bodied, with big structure, oodles of power and length. A terrific wine, with decades ahead of it.

94 Points James Halliday
The wine seems to have been around forever, and so it has: this is the 53rd vintage. It is barrel-aged in French oak, 31% new, and comes from the top 25% of the available cabernet resources of Wynns. It is rich and luscious, with blackcurrant and dark chocolate aromas and flavours, the palate lengthened and strengthened by ripe yet fine tannins. Drink to 2025.
