Fine, taut and pleasingly tannic Cabernet Sauvingon that, although it can't match the greatness of the best wines from Coonawarra and Margaret River, is one of the better examples form the Barossa. Lovely sweet fruit and impressive density with strong berry, spice and new leather flavours

Strong, deep purple-red; an interesting wine that has the depth of flavour typical of Penfolds and 407, but has avoided any dead/overripe fruit that plagued many ’08 wines; juicy blackcurrant fruit is complexed by oak and savoury tannins. Drink to 2023.

The 2008 Bin 407 Cabernet Sauvignon gives a deep garnet-purple color and aromas of ripe cassis, black currant cordial, dark chocolate, black truffles and black olives. Full bodied with a good amount of muscular fruit, it has a firm level of chewy tannins, very crisp acidity and a long, ripe cassis laced finish. Drink it now to 2018+.
