Healthy, full red-purple; a distinctly regional, gently earthy/savoury cast to the fruit will doubtless raise the question in the minds of some, but for me the wine is spotlessly clean. A perfectly made wine on the palate, with cassis fruit the anchor for both the texture and structure; exemplary tannin and oak handling completes the picture. Drink to 2013.
