A blend of regions with a mix of spice, berry and chocolate mocha flavours. Dense and slightly jammy wine with impressive intensity. Strong sweet fruit with Xmas cake spice, chocolate and dried fruit flavours

Deep magenta; as expected this wine is deeply fruited, loaded with succulent black fruits, fresh prunes and well balanced charry oak; medium-bodied, fleshy and long, there is a lightness of being that almost contradicts the concentration of fruit on offer; will certainly stand the test of time. Drink to 2035.

There is an inherent control in this wine that lifts it above its inaugural 2008 release. An inky, black thing, laced with impressive black plum, black cherry and rhubarb fruit of great persistence, aligned with well-defined, finely textured tannins. Milk chocolate notes are as much a reflection of Marananga shiraz as they are of oak (half French, half American, half old and half new). A $10 price jump in its second release is ambitious. Drink 2017 - 2024.
