Huon Hooke
Deep red/purple colour. Rich, ripe black fruit aromas, sweetly ripe and delicious. Very, very intense and alive, loaded with energy and panache. The finish is tremendously, long and with oak integration. Tannins are very evident, but ripe and smooth and powdery. Great persistence and line. Great wine.

94 Points James Halliday
Includes 7% McLaren Vale fruit, and has 3% cabernet franc and 1% petit verdot, matured for 19 months in 39% new French hogsheads and the balance in a range of oak types and ages - attention to detail. Crimson-purple; the bouquet and palate are flooded with cassis, blackberry and cedary oak, the soft tannins make the wine fleshy and approachable now, notwithstanding its long future. Drink to 2030.
