Huon Hooke
Medium to deep red colour, only a faint tinge of purple. Floral and red and dark fruit aromas, a hint of violets. Some meatiness/charcuterie. A tinge of forward-developed mellowness. Faint bitterness. Like this wine: it has character and length. A little funky beside the more pristine cabernets, but nothing to worry about in the short-term.

96 Points James Halliday
Strong but clear purple-crimson; a distinguished cabernet with deep and satisfying blackcurrant/cassis fruit aromas and flavours; the medium- to full-bodied palate has exemplary balance and structure, both ripe tannins and quality oak adding complexity. A minimum 20-year life ahead. Satisfying elegance. Drink to 2030.
