Medium to full purple/red. Not a deep colour, but very bright and beautifully hued. Very complex spicy peppery, meaty and charcuterie, and lightly herbal, stemmy aromas, reflecting complexity of vinification as much as quality of fruit. Oak happily takes a back-seat. Flowers and violets, with a full spice cupboard of aromas and flavours. Lovely wine! Clean as a whistle and lively, refined, superbly balanced and lingering long on the aftertaste. A masterpiece of elegance.

The crimson hue is good, but disconcertingly light; the bouquet is fragrant and spicy, the light- to medium-bodied palate with complexity and elegance, the spicy red berry fruits running through to a well-balanced palate, aok and tannins well controlled. Drink to 2020.
