Ranked #1 of 29 2013 Shiraz Viognier from Canberra District
97/100
5 Stars
Huon Hooke
Chocolate and spice, oak-inflected bouquet; very full bodied, spicy, rich and plush in the mouth. Dense wine, with great concentration and length, superb balance and completeness. The real deal.

94 Points Robert Parker
Medium garnet-purple colored, the 2013 Shiraz Viognier is scented of fresh red and black plums, wild blueberries and nuances of violets, pepper, cloves and cedar. Medium to full-bodied, it fills the mouth with seductive, velvety textured fruit before finishing long and layered. Drink it now to 2024+.

Estate-grown, and co-fermented with 5% viognier. This is the iron fist in the velvet glove, the bouquet of glorious fragrance, the medium-bodied palate silky and prodigiously long; spicy red fruits dance around darker fruits, and the fine tannins have an altogether different feel to those of the other two '13 shirazs. Drink to 2032.
