Ranked #15 of 18 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon from Barossa Valley
86/100
3 Stars
Huon Hooke
Deep, dense red/brick-red colour, with purple reflections. Developing fusty earthy, foresty bouquet with some greener herbal and vegetable notes as well as mellowing berry scents. Lots of oak residual aromas and flavours, toasty and mellow, with intensity, richness and length. Not a wine I warm to.

87 Points Robert Parker
Deep garnet-purple in color the 2010 Mentor Cabernet Sauvignon has a pronounced nose of blackcurrant cordial, black cherries and dried mint with hints of cloves, fertile earth and pencil lead. Medium-bodied, it gives a good amount of juicy black fruit flavors in the mouth accented by mint and cloves suggestions and a medium level of grainy tannins. It finishes medium to long. Drink it now to 2017+.
