Huon Hooke
Deep, bright, red/purple colour. Good freshness and intensity of cassis-like cabernet fruit; clean and true to the grape. The palate is elegantly weighted and tidy, with ample firm but ripe tannins and a clean finish which displays balance and charm. A more-ish drink. Good structure to age, but it's a lovely drink today too. Very good indeed.

96 Points James Halliday
Sourced exclusively from the 12ha St George Vineyard, matured in a mix of new and used French oak for 18 months. This picks up where the Rouge Homme Cabernet leaves off, with an exceptional array of blackcurrant, blueberry and mulberry fruit on both the bouquet and palate, the latter incorporating black olive and savoury, fine-grained, tannins. Despite all this power, it has a streak of elegance. Drink to 2032.
