Medium to full red colour, slight purple tint. Savoury earthy and edgy wood smells. It could be a trace of cork-wood aroma. The taste is pleasingly intense and focused with life and verve, some firmer tannins and grip, but not astringent or detracting. Good wine; more structured than usual for merlot. I can smell the cork in this wine, which detracts from its charms.
