Huon Hooke
Slightly minty crushed leafy, vegetal / stemmy aroma: cool-area/cool-year character. A bit too cool and underripe. Sweaty, spicy and funky too. Ribena and raspberry cordial: almost a suggestion of cabernet. A bit green and leafy on the back-palate, tight and firm, grippy and high-acid. This is an extreme rendition of the vineyard style of St Peters, but it's hard to see the charm or quality today. Time will tell.
