Electric purple, bright colour, dark chocolate aroma; rich, dense and fleshy, with ample tannins and a trace of pleasant bitterness. Deep, plush wine. Balanced and firmly structured for the long term. Excellent wine. A baby.

Deep, vivid crimson-purple; an inspired decision by winemaker Matt Koch to limit the maturation in French and American oak to 8 months (half or less of normal for a wine of this level) has allowed the intense black fruits to fully express their varietal DNA while remaining in an elegant, medium-bodied mode. A really lovely wine. Drink to 2032.
