Deep, dark, dense purple/red colour; smoky graphite and peppery earthy bouquet which shows charred oak and other earthbound characteristics rather than fruity aromatics. Lots of pepper. The wine is bright and clean, intense and deep in fruit and flavour, backed up with masses of firm tannins. It demands time and will be very good. A big wine, well worth cellaring for several years.
