Medium full red, good purple edges. Smooth, unsophisticated, plum and herb fruit-driven aromas; no oak evident. Some earthy, faintly leathery aromas. Soft and smooth in mouth, with ample tannins which are supple and gentle, running the length of the palate. Beautiful wine of an old-fashioned style, smooth and well balanced. Great drinkability. Not a showy style but a very good drink.
