Deep, bright red/purple colour and a superb bouquet which invokes violets, blueberry, blackcurrant and mulberry. The wine is full-bodied and firm, powerful and driving in its tremendous length, the finish firm and concluding with a satisfying grip. The oak is seamless despite 17 months in two-thirds new barrels. A very intense, elegant and powerful DM, which will live for decades and reward long-term cellaring. (87% caberent sauvignon, 11% merlot, 1% each of malbec and cabernet franc)
