Dry earth, savoury, old-oak type bouquet, including some sweet tobacco. The wine is very tannic, firm and drying in the mouth. Does it have the fruit concentration to match those gripping tannins? It seems a touch unbalanced, even when tasted with hard cheeses. Other tasters liked it more than I did.
