Huon Hooke
Deep, bright purple/red colour, with a very ripe, fragrant, blueberry and cherry-like aroma, essency and delicious. The wine is soft and rich, gently chocolaty and plush, with a sumptuous rich, fruit-sweet middle-palate surrounded by soft, fluffy tannins, the whole entity moving smoothly through to a very long-lasting finish. A totally exotic, hedonistic shiraz.

94 Points James Halliday
Matured for 12 months in French hogsheads (26% new) resulted in a wine with a vivid yet deep crimson-purple hue that duly delivered on the promise of its colour. A light year away from the style of the '80s, American oak providing more flavour than the fruit. Now there's a velvety-smooth abundance of plum, blackberry compote and spice couched in soft, but persistent, tannins. Drink to 2038.
