Good depth of youthful colour, and a distinctively foresty, whole-bunch influenced bouquet, with those typical root vegetable and earthy notes. It's medium-bodied and shows some acidity, and the wine overall is savoury, not fruity; quite tangy and lacking sweet fruit on the palate and black fruit aromas on the nose. A nice food wine. This style is always better a year or two after release.
