Deep red with a good purple tint, the aromas are spicy, sweet-berried, jammy and gently minty, with a high note of pepper. Lots of char oak has been expertly infused into this full-bodied shiraz. It's rich and dense on the palate, weighty and authoritative, with a fruit-sweet core and plush rum-and-raisin flavours abounding. Long, long carry. Cellaring will be worthwhile. (Screwcapped.
