Huon Hooke
Medium full red, faint purple at best. Subdued, rather savoury earthy and devel nose; lacks fruit and flavour. Touch of tomato bush. Sweet ripe entry of a very ripe high-alcohol wine. Then savoury devel flavours, drying tannins albeit fine and powdery. Touch of sweet-jammy licorice/prune, suggests its a tad overripe? Not fine or elegant on mid to back-palate. Just a wine.

95 Points James Halliday
Colour development attests to a wine starting to show its wares through a spicy, red-fruited bouquet then a silky palate which lifts on the finish and aftertaste; oak and tannins perfectly judged. Drink to 2025.
