91 Points Robert Parker
Deep brick colored and infused with sandalwood, incense, Indian spices, dried mulberries and dried cherries, the 1998 Katnook Estate Cabernet Sauvignon has a rich, medium to full-bodied frame filled with spicy, concentrated fruit flavors and finishing long. Mature, drinking now.

94 Points James Halliday
Medium red-purple; a classic bouquet reflecting more or less equally the climate/terroir of Coonawarra and the character of cabernet sauvignon as it manifests itself in Coonawarra, the aromas a mix of berry, briar, earth in a savoury spectrum. The palate is perfectly weighted and structured, the wine polished yet substantial; particularly sweet tannins on the finish give the wine special character. Drink to 2013.
