93 Points James Halliday
Deep crimson in the glass with aromas of satsuma plum, blackberry and boysenberry with an array of spices and hints of licorice, dark chocolate, earth, purple floral tones and lighter fruit cake tones. Some cedary nuance and fig notes flow in on the palate, which is full bodied and powerful with compact tannins, bright acidity and a spicy, black-fruited finish that shows just a hint of alcohol heat. Muscular and intense. Drink to 2030.
